Dear Westlake High School Community,

 

We are excited to announce the creation of the Westlake Basketball Hall of Fame, a prestigious initiative designed to honor the exceptional individuals who have contributed to the success and legacy of the Westlake High School basketball program.

 

The Westlake Basketball Hall of Fame will recognize former players, coaches, and contributors who have demonstrated outstanding athletic performance, leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment to the program both during their time at Westlake and beyond.

 

Nomination Process:
Nominations for the 2024-2025 Hall of Fame class are now officially open! We invite members of the Westlake community—alumni, students, families, coaches, and friends of the program—to submit nominations for candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Players: Must be at least 24 months removed from the Westlake basketball program and have demonstrated outstanding athletic achievements and leadership.
• Coaches: Must have served at Westlake for a minimum of three seasons and contributed to the development and success of the basketball program.
• Contributors: Non-players or coaches who have made a significant impact on the program through their support, leadership, or contributions.

Key Dates: 

• Nomination Period: October 1, 2024 – October 28, 2024
• Selection Period: October 28, 2024 – November 6, 2024
• Induction Ceremony: The induction will take place during a designated home basketball game this season. The exact date and event details will be announced in November.

How to Nominate:

To nominate a deserving candidate, please complete the official Westlake Basketball Hall of Fame Nomination Form. The form is available at WestlakeHoops.com. Along with the form, you may submit supporting documents, including photographs, statistics, media coverage, and letters of recommendation.

 

All nominations must be submitted by October 28, 2024, to be considered for this year’s induction. The Hall of Fame Committee will review all nominations and select the 2024-2025 inductees based on athletic achievements, leadership, character, and contributions to the Westlake basketball program.
