WESTLAKE BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME
The Westlake High School Basketball Hall of Fame is a prestigious new institution dedicated to honoring the legacy of players who have made a lasting impact on the program, the school, and the community. Celebrating excellence, leadership, and dedication, the Hall of Fame seeks to recognize individuals whose contributions have shaped the spirit of Westlake Basketball, ensuring their stories and achievements live on in perpetuity. The inaugural class of inductees will be announced by the end of January and celebrated at an upcoming Westlake Basketball home game.

Bryce Scott Howard – Westlake Class of 2019
From 2015 to 2019, Bryce Howard exemplified excellence and leadership at Westlake Basketball. A four-year varsity player and three-year captain, Bryce holds the program’s all-time record for career assists (508) and the single-game record for steals (11). He was named First Team All-League and All-County in 2019 and earned Scholar Athlete honors all four years. Known for his tenacity and selflessness, Bryce has continued to make an impact on the basketball community as a youth coach and the head coach of the WHS Unified Special Olympics Basketball Team. Bryce currently plays Division I college basketball for UCSB, where he continues to showcase his talent and leadership on a larger stage. Stevie Aylsworth is celebrated as one of Westlake’s all-time greats. A two-year captain, he led the team to back-to-back league championships and averaged 18.7 points per game his senior year. Stevie held the program’s all-time scoring record for an incredible 28 years and was recognized as the LA Times Basketball Player of the Year, a three-time All-CIF honoree, and a national Top 100 player. His dedication extended off the court with a 4.0 GPA and a stellar Division I basketball career.View more details...Kurt Schwan – Westlake Class of 1989
A dominant force in the late 1980s, Kurt Schwan made history with one of the most remarkable individual seasons in Westlake Basketball history during 1988-89. Named League MVP, Kurt earned First Team All-County, First Team All-CIF Southern Section honors, and was selected to the LA Times All-Star Team. He set records for most rebounds in a game (22), most blocks in a season (130), and most blocks in a career (130), all of which still stand today. Additionally, Kurt ranks in the top five for points and rebounds in a season, showcasing his skill and versatility. His exceptional performance and leadership helped lay the foundation for the program’s enduring legacy.View more details...
